Biography
A whole-person approach to care
Dr. Kimone Johns is the founder and lead provider of K. Johns Medical. She is dual board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), which allows her to evaluate and treat both medical and psychiatric concerns within a single, coordinated plan of care.
Dr. Johns provides integrated medical and psychiatric care across the lifespan, beginning at age 5. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and she takes time to understand each patient's history, daily life, and goals before making recommendations.
Her professional focus includes preventive care, primary care, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, chronic-condition management, patient education, and coordination of care with families and other professionals when authorized.
Patients describe her approach as unhurried and practical. Treatment recommendations are individualized and follow an appropriate clinical evaluation.
