Depression screening
- What it is
- A brief set of standardized questions about mood, interest, energy, sleep, appetite, and concentration over recent weeks.
- Who may benefit
- Adolescents and adults, and children when developmentally appropriate, especially when mood or motivation has changed.
- What to expect
- A short questionnaire completed before or during your visit, followed by a conversation about the results and what they may mean.
A screening result is not the same as a diagnosis. Results require review by a qualified healthcare professional.
In a crisis: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988.
